I tend to have several things going at once. Some are far enough along that other people can use them, some are manuscripts moving toward publication, and others are still questions, experiments, or ideas I’m trying to understand well enough to know what they should become.

Editing & publication preparation
From Aleph to Tav is a devotional journey through Psalm 119, following its twenty-two Hebrew sections as a way of slowing down with Scripture, reflection, prayer, and spiritual formation. The manuscript is complete and I’m currently editing and formatting it for publication.
Revision & publication preparation
Beneath the Silence is a marriage-centered Christian fiction project that uses story to explore some of what can happen between two people when the things underneath a marriage are harder to say than they are to feel. I’m currently rewriting portions of the manuscript while also working through the book design, cover, formatting, and preparation for publication.
Designing & developing
The Just A Thought Bible Study Framework is something I’m developing to help people move through Scripture thoughtfully rather than simply collect information from it. The framework is currently being designed around a process of observing what is there, understanding it, interpreting it carefully, and then considering what it means for how we live.
Early Stage
Not every book starts as a book. These are questions, story ideas, or experiences that have my attention without being promised forthcoming titles.
Concept & lived exploration
This idea is growing out of my own effort to learn how to pray more consistently and meaningfully for my wife and family. I’m less interested in writing a formula for husbands than in documenting what I’m learning as I try to become a husband who actually does this faithfully.
Concept
A leadership idea focused on what happens when principles of responsibility, service, character, communication, and leadership are brought home into the role of a husband. I’m still working through where leadership principles are genuinely useful in marriage and where marriage requires something different from simply leading an organization or team.
Story & character development
A Christian fiction concept centered on marriage and the distance that can develop between two people who are still sharing a life together. I’m currently developing the characters and the story itself before deciding exactly where it needs to go.
Concept
A speculative fiction project imagining an America where freedom of expression remains constitutionally recognized but is steadily restricted in everyday life by layers of federal, state, and local law. The story would explore what that contradiction does to ordinary people and to a country that still says it protects a right it increasingly prevents people from exercising.
Series concept
A post-war fiction series built around a fractured United States trying to become a nation again after a devastating global conflict. The idea centers less on the war itself than on what happens afterward, as regional and civilian leaders have to decide what should be rebuilt, what should change, and what governing together might look like now.
Short story / novel exploration
The Tesla Paradox began as a human-created story concept developed through AI-generated fiction, and I’m considering whether the short story should become a full novel. Part of the experiment is the creative process itself: what happens when a person brings the idea, direction, judgment, and revision while AI participates materially in creating the story?
Concept & story development
A dystopian fiction concept set in a future where architecture has become entirely AI-generated and the profession of human architect has disappeared. The story follows the daughter of the last human architect as she investigates how that happened and discovers that the apparently better, more efficient built world may contain a problem no one has noticed.

Alpha testing
BlueGreen Guide is an outdoor discovery tool I started building because finding a place is not the same thing as having enough useful information to decide whether it is right for you. It is now in alpha testing as I work through how location data, accessibility, conditions, safety information, and human judgment can fit together more responsibly.
Living open source
EpochLex is a living, searchable dictionary for the language developing around artificial intelligence, designed to provide more context than a traditional glossary can. It is also deliberately a vibe-coded open-source experiment in how people and AI can work together to build, research, review, and maintain something useful.
Active proof of concept
PawPath is a pet-care preparedness tool for people traveling with animals, built around a simple question: if something goes wrong away from home, have I already figured out where I would go? The current proof of concept lets someone plan primary and backup veterinary care before a trip and quickly get back to that information if it is actually needed.

Private alpha proof of concept
Authorium is an experiment in what a writing environment might look like if it remembered the book alongside the writer: characters, scenes, chronology, relationships, themes, plot threads, and the other things that become difficult to hold together across a long manuscript. The current private alpha is focused on proving the writing experience before deciding what a production version should become.
Early architecture & proof of concept
Model Pulse is an experiment in making Revit model-health information understandable to the people who actually need to act on it, rather than simply producing another technical report. The idea is to translate model-checking results into different views of the same problem depending on who is looking at them and what decision they need to make.
Working proof of concept
Revit Checkset Builder grew out of trying to make a very technical BIM quality-control process start with the information a client actually has rather than asking them to understand the machinery behind it. The current proof of concept takes familiar Excel-based asset and parameter requirements and turns them into a Model Checker checkset that can then be reviewed and tested in Revit.
MVP prototype
This is an exploration of a problem I keep seeing in architecture, engineering, and construction firms: organizations often have a tremendous amount of knowledge, but it is scattered across standards, project files, training material, workflows, meeting notes, and individual experience. I’m experimenting with whether AI can make that knowledge easier to find, understand, reuse, and turn into practical guidance without losing where the information came from.

Some things are worth doing simply because I want to learn them, return to them, or pay closer attention to something I have let sit for too long.
Learning again
I took a photography class more than thirty years ago and always thought I would eventually find my way back to it. I recently picked up a used Canon Rebel T7i and started relearning photography, not because I’m trying to become a professional photographer, but because I want to learn how to see and capture things well again.
This Place
Just A Thought is where many of these questions, experiments, writing projects, and ordinary observations eventually meet.

This site is probably the clearest picture of what I’m working on because it is where a lot of these questions, experiments, writing projects, and ordinary observations eventually meet. I’m continuing to develop it as a place to think publicly about faith, marriage, technology, work, culture, creation, and the things I’m still trying to understand.
A Living List
I expect this page to change because that is part of the point. A concept may become a manuscript, a prototype may become something other people can use, and something I thought I was building may teach me that the better idea is somewhere else. Some of these will grow, and some may change direction. This page is less about keeping score than it is about keeping an honest record of what has my attention.
