Collections define the reader’s journey. They answer: Where would a reader reasonably expect and appreciate finding this article?

A post may belong to more than one collection when each placement is central, useful, and supported by the article itself. Collections should not be assigned merely because the overall site is Christian or because a topic appears briefly.

Faith

Slug: faith

Reflections centered on Scripture, discipleship, prayer, spiritual formation, obedience, theology, Christian identity, and walking with Christ in everyday life.

Include when:

  • Scripture or Christian formation is central to the article.
  • The primary question concerns faith, doctrine, discipleship, prayer, holiness, grace, obedience, or spiritual growth.
  • The article meaningfully helps readers understand or practice Christian faith.

Do not include merely because:

  • The author writes from a Christian worldview.
  • A verse appears briefly without shaping the article’s argument.

Marriage

Slug: marriage

Reflections on covenant, communication, unity, conflict, intimacy, sacrifice, love, respect, prayer, and growth within marriage.

Include when:

  • Marriage is a primary subject or major application.
  • The intended reader is a husband, wife, or married couple.
  • The article directly explores biblical marriage, marital practices, or relational formation between spouses.

Do not include when:

  • Marriage appears only as one passing example among many relationships.

Leadership

Reflections on character, influence, responsibility, humility, service, communication, mentoring, stewardship, decision-making, and leading well at home, work, church, or in the community.

Include when:

  • Leadership is a primary subject or meaningful application.
  • The article addresses influence, responsibility, mentorship, workplace conduct, servant leadership, or self-leadership.
  • A reader seeking to lead with wisdom would reasonably expect to find it.

Do not include when:

  • The article only mentions a leader or workplace setting without developing a leadership principle.

Technology

Slug: technology

Reflections on artificial intelligence, digital life, design technology, architecture, BIM, software, automation, ethics, innovation, and the human consequences of technological change.

Include when:

  • Technology is a primary subject, setting, or interpretive lens.
  • The article explores how tools affect work, creativity, relationships, faith, culture, or human judgment.
  • Technical practice and thoughtful reflection are meaningfully connected.

Do not include when:

  • A digital tool is mentioned only in passing.

Culture

Reflections on ideas, media, books, politics, public life, language, social patterns, truth, discernment, and faithfully engaging the world around us.

Include when:

  • The article directly engages a cultural moment, public issue, social pattern, media environment, or prevailing idea.
  • Discernment about society, politics, language, entertainment, or worldview is central.
  • The piece helps readers think faithfully about the surrounding culture.

Do not include when:

  • The article is purely personal and does not meaningfully engage a wider cultural pattern.

Creation

Reflections shaped by nature, camping, travel, stillness, outdoor life, rest, seasons, landscapes, and encounters with God’s created world.

Include when:

  • Creation, nature, outdoor experience, travel, or place is central to the reflection.
  • The article grows from camping, hiking, lakes, mountains, shorelines, stars, weather, seasons, or quiet outdoor rhythms.
  • The created world serves as more than a decorative metaphor.

Do not include when:

  • Nature imagery appears only briefly.

Assignment Principles

  1. Assign the smallest useful set of collections.
  2. Prefer relevance over completeness.
  3. A post may have one collection.
  4. Two collections are common when the overlap is substantial.
  5. Three collections should be uncommon and clearly justified.
  6. Collection placement may change when an article is substantially revised.
  7. Homepage collection pages may feature or curate posts independently of chronology.
